| Customer Reviews: Comedy Flop But Enjoyable! March 5, 2008 L. Brown (Los Angeles) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You know a play is a flop when it only lasts 15 performances. It certainly wasn't the fault of Arthur Hill, who nailed his role, as always. Sammy Fain, whose music was always popular, and Marilyn and Alan Bergman, whose lyrics always seemed terrific, just never meshed with theatre audiences. So call me a contrarian! Maybe it's a guilty pleasure, maybe it's the equivilent of a 'B' movie, but, whatever it is, I like this play and the music!
