Nice Product, shipping not so good August 13, 2010 Customer123 The product itself is nice for the price. However, if you can receive it without it being damaged, then you're doing really good. This product was sent to me twice and arrived damaged both times. I finally requested and received a refund. Too bad because I liked the table and stool for the price. The mirror is lower than it should be, but if you are handy, it can be adjusted with some creativity. If you are not too tall, then it could work. I lower my head to look into a vanity mirror anyway, so it was fine. Call the seller on the phone vs. e-mail because they do not respond to e-mail. When you get them on the phone, they are very nice and cooperative. Ofcourse, that is if you get them on the phone.
LOVE IT! July 14, 2010 The package arrived on time but it had minor damage which wasn't realized until it was almost totally put together. Since it was very minor damage, I made the decision not to take it apart and put it back in the packaging and send it back. So my whole face would show in the mirror, my husband made an adjustment to the part of the mirror that makes it flip. Once it was together, I loved it. It's small enough not to take up much room but with the 2 drawers and the bay where the mirror is, it has plenty of room for lots of makeup - no hair dryers etc.though. I love it and glad of the purchase.
Great Vanity June 24, 2010 Diana Maroudis (Shelby Twsp. MI) Really nice looking. Easy to assemble and comes with the bench. Well worth the money!I was going to purchase one from a well known decorating company ( rhymes with Best Realm)that was much more expensive, glad I didn't.
How tall are you? June 21, 2010 A. Skrzycki Product took longer to arrive than expected, but it did arrive undamaged thanks to the over abundance of packaging. The vanity has a nice look to it and it was easy to assemble. However, if your over 5 feet tall, this may not be the vanity for you. I am 5'9" and when I sit on the bench with the mirror flipped up, I see only my chest. I tried taking the hinge off to make the mirror tilt back more, but this made it unstable and it would have broken off if I left it that way. I ended up having to buy a table top vanity mirror anyway which I was trying to avoid.
Good product for the price June 2, 2010 J. Gerstorff (Kentucky) We had been looking all over for a vanity. It is very difficult to find a decent one for a reasonable price. Most are either the wrong color, have an antiquated Victorian look or are outrageously expensive. This vanity was a good price and had a modern look so we pulled the trigger.
First, I was very pleased with the assembly. Most furniture like this you have to screw a million screws with an Allen wrench. This was already assembled except for the legs, and those used actual screws and nuts...no allen wrench. Once you put the legs and two knobs on you are done.
The mirror piece feels very solid, not flimsy. The mirror is a bit bigger than it seems in the picture, but overall the vanity is smaller than what you would see from a similar office desk. Other than that what you see is what you get.
I took off a star because the drawer hardware didn't want to screw in all the way, I had to really work to get it on there. The drawers are a little loose too. Also there were two dings on the front from shipping. However for the price, I'm not going to complain too much. We weren't buying this as an heirloom piece so not that big a deal. More particular buyers may want to be aware of the potential issues though.
